A portrait that honours your pet and your bond
I'm André Simões and I create coloured-pencil pet portraits. My goal is simple: turn your favourite photo into a piece with emotion, depth, and detail made to last and made to be framed.
My process
Every portrait starts with guidance on selecting the right photos. I prefer to get the foundation right before I pick up a pencil because great results come from great references and clear expectations.
When I draw, I work strand by strand and focus on what makes your dog truly yours: the head tilt, the expression, the light on the muzzle, the tiny asymmetries that make them unique.
The goal isn't to draw "a dog". It's to capture that personality and that look you recognise every day and turn it into a portrait with presence, texture, and emotion.
